The Problem with Data

Today, more than ever we have the ability to store our important information digitally, through computers, web sites, pdas, cell phones, even our ipod. If you are one of the countless millions that own one or more of these devices and keep contact information or calendar events, or a todo list, its never easy to keep it all current and accessible. If you have ever tried to match up all of your data, or wished there was a better way, then you understand why we set out to develop BitPal.

Microsoft Outlook is the number one email and Personal Information Manager (PIM) on the planet today, it is pervasive in the business world and home alike. But without an expensive PDA (yet another device you have to carry around with you) taking that data with you is nearly impossible. We feel your pain. Outlook is a great tool at the central PC you use, but may people use on PC at work and another at home, how do you get access to your contacts and events at home?

Printing has long been an option used by many, it seems with all our digital options, we cannot get away from printing. I guess the Printer guys like that ?. The problem grows when you have Outlook at home too, and have a series of contacts, events, etc there. Worse still, maybe you have a Mac in the equation somewhere, in either case every thing needs to be entered by hand, and updated manually.
